I'm hard to shop for and my wife hates to come up with things for me on her own. My hobbies are way more spendy than hers. But she asked me what I wanted for Fathers day and I told her when I have the time to get to the bow shop I want a new sting and cables put on my bow. So I finally took it in on Monday and got it back yesterday. Something about a fresh string that screams possiblities. My old string was getting a bit tathered and I think it was missing a whisker.

I went to putting a D loop on my string last year. I still wake up sweating from that 8x8 shot last year that went hay wire. I believe to this day that I had that arrow nocked like I should but my release was poorly fitting into the D loop and must have pushed the nock forward a tad so when that 8x8 came in to ten yards as I pulled back the arrow hit the ground. It haunts me.as I write this it take me back to that day...ugggh!! Well I am switching things up a bit this year. I had been researching and reading reviews on shooting styles and releases and so on. I decided to try a new release...one made for D loops. I will be using the "the Wiseguy" by spot-hogg. It has an open jaw for D loops for easy hook ups. It got great reviews, but people hated that it had velco straps...spot hogg listened and came out with buckle version just in time for me to find it so thats what I got...I plan on shooting it for the first time when I get home from work today...hope it lives up to the hype.

Very nice release...very smooth...love the buckle and the fast hook to the D loop.
