I had not realized how poorly my eyes focus (or don't focus anymore) on pistol sights.

The Ruger LCP that I bought came with the factory installed Red Dot. That thing is neat, and I surely would hate to look down and see a red dot somewhere on me. Shocked

OK, I'm with you not wanting a laser dot on me.

We've got Crimson Trace on the smaller handhelds and you don't have to have the dominant eye sight picture correct to know where it will hit. I'd probably reach around something bulky and put the spot on the intruder counting on most to be smart enough to back out.

Red Dot is an infinity type sight with a dot displayed on the lens

I have been thinking about a scoped revolver (22 mag) as a tag along with my 22 mag rifle during small game season. I use a 22 mag because we have a lot of wild hogs here that are legal to shoot during all seasons. I borrowed a handgun scope from a friend just to look at and noticed that you have to have it positioned just right keep from blacking out part of the view. Has anyone else use a handgun scope and what did you think about them.

Shooting sticks or a prop of some kind would probably be necessary. I sure would love to be able to shoot squirrels with the revolver.

Magic, how does your LCP shoot, mine doesn't have the laser sights and I have found that the trigger pull makes mine shoot high and right if I am not real careful.

Bandaids LCP is tough to shoot accurately. the trigger pinches too.
But it is light and small and has a Crimson Trace laser.

I took a sharp knife and relieved the sharp corners on the trigger slot. I also learned to catch the trigger toward the tip end for better accuracy and less chance of pinching. My laser is built in and is the the factory installed unit. It was only $50 more for the laser.
