Who will be hunting turkeys this Spring?

Our season opens tomorrow March 14th. I will not be hunting the opener, but I do have one Grandson that will be hunting.

I have never gotten into Turkey hunting, I've heard that if you ever get into it your addicted.

No word from the Grandson, so apparently he did not score this morning. He is probably hunting now. Afternoon/evening hunts can be productive.

I just got word that he got a turkey this afternoon. 10" beard and 1" spurs.

Three varieties have been transplanted to WA. I need to check when the WA season opens- haven't been out for turks for many years. Got all the gear, but not many around here compared with the S states.

Rats, WA starts Apr 15 and we'll be flying to Africa.....

I've been going with the bow since that allows a person to hunt from April 13 to May 17 this year. If a person opts for a gun tag, it is for one of the four seasons:
April 13 - 16, 2015 Season 1
April 17 - 21, 2015 Season 2
April 22 - 28, 2015 Season 3
April 29 - May 17, 2015 Season 4

I think a person can get gun tags, but one of them has to be for season 4. I usually buy two bow tags before the season, I've tagged on a double in the past with the bow.

The same Grandson got another turkey yesterday, his second. Hopefully he will send me a picture. 10" beard and 7/8" spurs.

I had a turkey call in my hand yesterday- it still sound pretty good. wish I could get out there and watch you skilled callers work. Cool
