While in Costco For the Monthly Grocery Stock up, I saw that they had Fajita sized precooked strips of beef in the freezer section, and I thought to myself "Hey I could do that with my Round steaks inthe Freezer".

My Idea is that I would Defrost the steaks, season and grill them to very rare, but browned outside. Then Slice into bite sized strips , and Freeze in Meal sized portions to use for a quick skillet meal at home or in hunting camp.

Has anyone done this before?

I'm curious about avoiding that metallic re-heated taste I've had from Microwaving leftover steaks or burgers. Is it an issue ?

I'm also looking for a few good quick 1 skillet recipes for elk camp/home.
