I got a new piece of gear..... There are a few guys here that will appreciate it. My new hunting saddle.

It is a Denver made Heiser,ca late'40's early '50's. My dads cousin worked there, and lost a bunch of fingers on some kinda stamping machine about 1950. Always wanted a good ol' cowboy kak.

Some of the border tooling......

The leather is in wonderful condition, all original from the sheepskin to the strings.....Had to give it a workout.....

This is to me, what a Hamley would be to the NW guys.Don

Nice saddle Don,

What a Visalia would be to the CA vaqueros...

That looks like a STOUT roan there. Or you are a slight fella... Laughing

Both...... I'm about 140, the hoss goes about 1380. Percheron/QH cross. He started life as a saddle bronc, quit bucking, and was made into a top notch pick-up horse. He's the one you wanna be riding if you have to rope a bull and drag him outta the arena...... Since I don't rodeo anymore, all he does is hunt and dayworks a little at a local ranch.
