Here's the rules.

Take a picture of you and your pack, in action, hauling out your trophy. Or, you can enter a picture of you and your pack posing with your trophy. Either one will work just fine. Then post your picture here on this thread. Only one picture per member please.

Then on January 15th the fine folks at Badlands will get together over a couple of beers and pick the winner. Laughing The winner will get to pick his or her choice of any one of the Badland packs. Shocked

Pictures of 08 season through the 15th of January 09 only please.

Moderators and Pro-Staff are encouraged to post their Badland pictures, but unfortunately they wont be eligible to win. Rolling Eyes

Good luck!

Scott

First I have to say there is no picture so I realize this post won't qualify but thought I would post anyway. Missouri's bow season opened Monday the 15th and I headed into the woods with my new Badlands Monster fanny pack fully loaded (thanks Scott for the great service). After about 6 miles of hiking and sitting I shot a nice doe that walked up behind me. I was on the ground and she and another doe walked within 6 feet of me. I don't know who was more nervous them or me. Anyway I finally managed to pull off a shot at about ten yards in between her stomping and snorting and such trying to figure out what I was. I was pretty sure it was a good double lung shot but her adrenalin was so high that she ran down a steep ravine and I couldn't tell whether she crashed and fell or was just crashing thru timber. Since there was only ten minutes of legal shooting time left I thought it best to track her in the morning. Turns out I was right and she was only about 75 yards from where I shot her. The only problem was the coyotes found her first. I know all here are a grizzled bunch but thought it was a pretty foul looking picture what with intestines hanging out and such so passed on any pics.

Four years ago I had the same thing happen with a nice buck so as I told my hunting partner I now have a coyote doe to go with my coyote buck. Oh well it was still a great opening day and I am determined to get a picture in here with either my monster pack or 2200 as they are simply terrific. I have 20 days left until I head out for mule deer with the 2200 and can't wait.

Thanks for listening and if this was the wrong place for this feel free to move it . This has been a great site for getting lots of good info and I really appreciate it.

Here's mine. 103 pound load carried for 3.5 miles. I won't say it was comfortable, but bearable. No other pack could handle this load!

I love my Badlands 4500s

Marc

Here's a picture of my 2200 with an elk front quarter, 1 backstrap, the tenderloins and more. We packed the elk out in 2 trips fully loaded with no damage to the packs at all, they performed perfectly!!

Awesome pack!!

Thanks for the chance. My 2008 WY bull and the last of the meat.
It was 3 GPS miles to camp and the pack was gold!

Here is a picture of me with my Badlands 2800 loaded with the hide and horns of a 5 x5 elk and the rest of my gear. The pack performed flawlessly.

This was my Montana Elk hunt from September 2008. My 2200 pack worked how I figured it would and that was nothing short of perfect. The bat wing design couldn't be better. I just recieved a 4500 in the mail and I can't wait to try that pack out as well. Enjoy the picture.

Hey Scott,

For the contest we can only send one picture. What if I send one in now, but later like one better while I am packing out a different animal? Can I change the picture? Or can I submit one and later have it removed?

I have a picture hauling out a deer, but think the country and pics can be a lot better when I go on my elk trip in November. Or should I just wait until then to submit one?

Does any of that make sense?

Thanks!
Ken

OK, I'll post my pic of two 2200's loaded up with approx. 90# of meat each. This is in compliment to The_Swede's pic.

These are the two packs before we took off on our 3 mile hike back to the truck.

As The_Swede Said, these packs were far more comfortable than a meat frame and handles the loads with no trouble at all!!! Badlands has my vote! Wink

I know there is only one each and I am not included to win anyways, I just really like this one of the 4500 in action

Wow, the video is amazing. I can't believe how close you got! That's unreal. What was going through your head when you were standing 10 yards away from the whole group? That's almost unbelievable! Congrats again on your hunt.

Here is my New Badlands 2800 on its first hunt. Coues deer in Arizona's rugged Mountains. Packed all my gear and all but one hind quarter and one front quarter of the buck. 2000 vertical feet in and out 2 miles from the top/truck. Pack made it without a hitch, love the warranty and they are right cuz my knees still are hurting.

Not sure if this will work, but this was during bow season. Didn't think I could ever carry this many horns on my Badlands Diablo. Worked awesome. This got a little heavy but could not feel that on my body. This pack feels great when you are wearing it. You sometimes forget that it is even there.

Stinky goat! This was my old man's first big game animal. He was still in the process of recovering from a serious surgery removing a mass from his chest. We thought we were going to lose him. Packing his goat out was the least I could do!
