Great pic, those are some daggers. I took a look at the link as well, you definitely had the 2800 loaded up. Welcom to the forum. |

Yeah, it was an awesome trip. A moose and a grizz within hours of each other on a BEAUTIFUL day!! That was my first trip with a Badlands and yes, I fell in love! _________________ I think you'd sooner hold back the tide than tame the mountains. - JimCraig |

A successful hunt can be defined in many ways, depending on your perspective. Having recently spent the last 17 of 25 months on deployments to Afghanistan, my success criteria and perspective for my November hunt in Montana was simple; success was putting my boots on the ground in Montana, anything beyond that would be gravy.
To make a long story short, I flew from North Carolina to Montana, linked up with a buddy, and spent 7 days walking our butts off, hunting public land in Southwest Montana and just generally having a great time in the outdoors. We even managed to fill a couple tags. Hopefully my expression in the photo shows how thankful I am to be home and able to take this hunt.
It was a memorable hunt made even more enjoyable by quality gear like my Badlands 2200. Thanks Badlands.

Or are all the Badlands guys at the SHOT show? Either way I bet there are a few cold ones involved _________________ Jim Toth

Not all, they had a rep at the ISE Show in Sacramento yesterday at the Wildeness Archery booth. Along with about 100 Badland Packs. I don't remember the reps name, but he was the one who took the photo of Cameron Hanes modeling the new OX. He showed off several more pictures of it that were still on his digital camera. _________________ Take care, Doug... |

la65 welcome welcome to the forum and were glad your back in the good ol' USA.
Great picture... how about a little more information on that rifle. It appears to be a Kimber Montana?? Is it a shooter? _________________ "a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." |

Gripnrip76/Magic,
Thanks. I appreciate your comments.
Huntem,
The rifle is a Kimber Montana in .308 WIN. It wears a Leupold 3x9 Ultralight with the Long Range Reticle (Dots), in Talley one piece mounts. The rifle weighs 6 pounds all up with scope, mounts and sling. As far as your question regarding accuracy, I have shot a few 1/2 inch three shot groups (100 yds), but it normally averages around 1-1 1/4 inch groups from a cold barrel, when I do my part. For a 6 pound hunting rifle, I consider it plenty accurate, and for me, shoots well from field positions. |
