Hey guys! New to the forum. And I'll be so bold to start off with a question - Also new to horse packing & will be hunting this Fall in N. ID.
Can you recommend a good rifle scabbard - type, brand, and source where I can purchase one. I'd like to give some business to someone in ID, and with all the horse expertese there, don't think I can go wrong.
I have a 50mm obj lens on my scope, and the rifle I'm bringing for this hunt, has a barrel that is only 21".
I'd like to get a solidly built, nice leather scabbard. No fancy tooling. But something I can use with my other rifles on future hunts (barrels up to 26"), scopes no larger than 50mm obj lens though.
Not sure if I should get one lined with fleece or not (bad when it's raining).
What do you guys recommend? Thanks, Tim |

i dont know where to look for a scabbard that will fit a scope that large. might not be hard but might not be easy. just get leather -no fleece. i just could not hang my leg around a 50 mm- heck a bare rifle is bad enough anymore. levers are sure nice to ride with - nice and skinny. |

I bought two sets of deckers from them a few years ago. I'd recommend them. |
